Phoenix, November 2nd, 2013. “The Celebration of the Living (who reflect upon death)” is an annual event produced by the Italian artists Emilio Fantin, Luigi Negro, Giancarlo Norese, Cesare Pietroiusti and Luigi Presicce. They have proposed turning the traditional November 2nd celebration, the “Day of the Dead,” into a new holiday.
The Arizona edition includes contributions by The Bad Cactus Brass Band, Deborah Boardman, Kristina Lee Podesva, Merced Maldonado, Julio Cesar Morales, Marie Navarre, Alessandra Pomarico, and Shawn Van Sluys. The video also includes a scene by the graduate student Parker Logan Dennison.
